Stripedshadow awoke in the tree he called home stretching and yawning in the morning light. He normally warm den was cold. Very cold. He peeked outside and let out a sigh of frustration as he saw snow blanketed the ground. More snow was falling to. He yawned again and looked over at he meager pile of food. Taking a piece for himself and munching on it. Where would I hunt today? he thought to himself finishing his small treat before moving to the entrance of his den. Peering out all he saw was the snow and the cold tree's. He jumped out and landed on the ground below. He turned towards thunderclan territory and set off in that direction. Some vole sounded good at the moment.

He looked towards his apprentice, he hadn't necessarily had the time to take her out as often as the other apprentice's due to him being leader and having many responsibilities beyond just having an apprentice and doing Warrior duties. He let out a sigh, he hadn't meant to not train but now that he did have the extra time, for now at least, he was going to use it as much as he could. "Snowpaw!" He called to the apprentice, flicking with his tail an area where a loner lived, he wanted to make sure the cat stayed on his own territory instead of digging deeper into Thunderclan's.
He paused, sniffing the air than turned to Snowpaw, "What do you smell?" he asked.

Snowpaw hurried over to her mentor. Sitting down next to Halfstar, she lifted her nose high in the air and instantly wrinkled it, confused. "Another cat, but not ThunderClan. We're still in our territory, right? Why would there be another cat here?" she asked, confused and a but anxious. She wasn't sure if she was ready to fight off an intruder.

Stripedshadow still moved through the snow. He stopped sniffing.hmm thunderclan. might as well go "greet" them he thought to himself, soon setting off towards the scent. he had hopes that maybe this day would be at least a little bit exciting. He continued until he sniffed again." Smells like two cats. oh well won't be the mob coming to run me out." he said to himself, mock sadness behind his words

"Yes, we are still in Thunderclan." He meowed with a slightly amused purr. A little ways off of wondering and they would no longer be in Thunderclan however, Halfstar kept him and his apprentice right by the border but inside their own. "A loner lives here." He continued, scanning the area beyond. Snow blocking some of the area's that he wished to see, though smell would give off the loner. It was not that Halfstar wanted to drive the Tom out of his land but that he wanted to make sure the Tom was keeping to his own piece of land, especially in the heart of leaf-bare.

Snowpaw was surprised. "I didn't know we had a loner on our territory! Is the loner a friend of ours?" she asked, a naturally curious she-cat.

Stripedshadow moved silently until he heard a sound in front of him. He let out a small breath before inhaling again. time to make and entrance. He trudged through the bushes and out in front of the two cats, his eyes gleaming not with hostility though that could be seen somewhere in his eyes but with curiosity." Might I ask what two thunderclan cats are doing here?" he said sitting back. He was decently fed, more so than the other cats of the forest. Not because he took food from the kitty pet homes but because he had learned where all the prey liked to hide. It was a great advantage. The large loner waited for a a response, he quickly took in the two cats. There was a fairly young cat. that must be a "apprentice"according to some of the rouges around here. The other cat seemed to be older, and there was a certain "air" about him. Interesting was all he could think.

"No. He is not a friend of Thunderclan." He meowed without menace in his voice. During the tough times especially, he could not and would not let the loner cross his border to go and hunt in Thunderclan. He scanned the area, listening to the movement before seeing a Tom trudge through the bushes and out to where himself and Snowpaw stood, waiting, as if with welcome. "Patrolling our borders, making sure no cat comes into our territory." He replied with emphasis but without rudeness or menace. He slowly looked over the loner, he was obviously well fed, though from the smell of him, not from the two-legged creatures feeding him, more or less on prey that he found on his territory. He sighed, unlike the loner, he and his warriors had to feed many mouths. Not just one and with the harsh winter, it wasn't easy.
