[Thistlestar]

Thistlestar weakly, but confident, left Mintleaf's den and walked out into the main expanse of the camp.
As all of her cats eyes turned to her, many focusing on her cobweb caked head-wound, she stepped up on the large river-boulder next to her den. She addressed the Clan then, just as she saw Adderstep and a few of her other warriors, moving to the camp's exit.
"Cats of RiverClan," she called out, looking over the assembled cats without a gleam of wavering resolve. "Heronclaw's betrayal will not go unpunished, especially since I fear this will not be the end. I am not a leader who will hide the knowledge that could ensure your safety, or at least make you cautious when out of camp... or even in it. We must be prepared for her and any other cat she may bring along at all times. I must increase the patrols up to an extra one each day for our safety. And, since this may not just threaten us, I will alert Velvetstar, Pantherstar and Halfstar of what has transpired before the Gathering if possible.
"And I want to assure you, all of you, I am not capable of letting her win. StarClan is behind us, all of us; and I will put every one of my lives on the line if circumstances require." she trailed off, leaving that in the air. Then, turning to her Deupty, she said,
"Adderstep, you may go now. See if you can catch up with her, if not, report back with what direction she headed in. Take whom you feel necessary with you."

Adderstep watched nervously as his leader slinked from Mintleaf's den. He noticed her head was wrapped tightly in cobwebs, and winced when he thought back to his poor fighting techniques. He listened quietly and stood still during her speech, and nodded when he heard what she directed. "Me and Hailstorm will be leaving soon. I will not let this go unpunished."

[/color] The deputy bowed his head, then looked back up at Thistlestar. "Are you okay? I fear you may have lost a life. ... Did you visit Starclan?"[/color] he asked hesitantly, looking more at the cobweb mucked head wound than his leader.[/blockquote][/size]

Thistlestar stared at her deputy, shocked at his boldness.
Still a bit, tense from all that had transpired in such a short time, she snapped harsh words at him. "My lives are something I will choose to share with you, or any other RiverClan cat, Adderstep. It it not something you have a right to know," she then nodded at him, eyes still guarded, and added, "Go now Adderstep, Hailstorm. We'll be find here for now," and with that, she turned around, and stalked back to her den, feeling weak and dizzy.
With a flick of her tail, she signaled to Mintleaf to follow.

Mintleaf Nodded and followed Thistlestar. She looked around for a few moments before moving to match her leaders pace and moving shoulder to shoulder with the she cat."Thistlestar...im concerned, i wanted to mention this before but you were busy talking to Adderstep. Sharpclaw is still out looking for poppy seeds. Heronclaw could be any where. Maybe Adderstep should find him and continue. And well he could be taken by surprised and ambushed by Heronclaw..." she stopped talking and shook her head clearing those visions out. She took a deep breath and continued to follow Thistlestar to her den.

Sharpclaw mean while was busy looking for poppy seeds. The normal plant where Mintleaf would get her supply had no seeds, so he pressed farther away from camp. He had picked up Heronclaw's scent often enough. It seemed she was headed for thunderclan territory. He thought about why she should go there, nothing seemed to come to his mind. He stopped and let out a sigh. The clan most likely will send out a search for her. It would be better if i had already started searching.[i/] he said to himself and nodded, that seemed like the best option. He retraced his steps to the last place he had scented Heronclaw, then started to follow the scent. Towards Thunderclan.
